MADS HARTMANN

Mads Hartmann began photographing on a trip to Auschwitz in the autumn of 2004. 

At the time he was studying composition at the Royal Acedemy of Music in Aarhus. 

Photography quickly became an intregral part of his life. By chance it coinsided with him meeting his soon to be wife Alexandra. 

Together Alexandra and Mads have two children a girl and a boy:

Maya who is born in 2006, and Sasha who is born in 2008.

Mads Hartmann has completed two projects: "Glaza" and "Promised Land" and is currently working on a project in color. 

Mads Hartmann works with 35mm and medium format analogue equipment. 

He prints all his own black & white photographs in his darkroom.
